The company acquired 1 acre site next to Miami International Airport (MIA) in an area which is gradually transforming from a semi-industrial sector into an upper midscale hotel hub due to an increasing demand from MIA travelers. According to MIA Authority, the amount of travelers are increasing every and currently at almost 46 million in 2019. Additionally, the site is only a few blocks away from the MIA Rental Car Center and Miami Intermodal Center (MIC), which is an intermodal rapid transit, commuter rail, intercity rail, local bus, and intercity bus transportation hub. The City of Miami’s Masterplan also conceives the upgrading of Miami River’s adjacent areas, so overall this sector (Lake Palmer) is going to appreciate itself in the following 5 years.
